    Doing What Works

The Blue Slip is a system that staff use for “catching” students doing something well, such as demonstrating their ability to live the School Pledge to be respectful, responsible, and helpful; following school rules and classroom procedures; and making good choices. Adults record what they see on a Blue Slip, noting the rules they saw the student following. Administrators honor students who earn Blue Slips by announcing the students’ names and deeds in front of the student body.
