In 2008, the National Mathematics Advisory Panel released the final report of their review and inquiry of mathematics education in the United States. Included in this report were recommendations to ensure student mastery of algebra. The panel recommended that teachers plan to teach the comprehensive set of major topics of algebra and school set expectations and provide multiple paths to help all students succeed.

To learn more about these practices and the other findings of the Panel, view Foundations for Success: Report of the National Mathematics Advisory Panel.
